Limits on Contributions:

• No Anonymous, Corporate or Labor Union Contributions: Individuals, unincorporated associations, and partnerships may make contributions, but not anonymous contributors, corporations or labor unions. Individuals and political PACs my contribute up to $3,400.00; independent and caucus PACs up to $34,000.00.
• Must Make Contribution With Own Funds: An individual contributor must make a contribution with his or her own personal funds and not with funds from any corporation, labor union, or with funds from another person with the understanding or agreement that the funds will be passed on to a particular campaign committee. Likewise, contributions made with credit or debit cards can only be made with the contributor's personal card, not with a card issued to a business or to anyone else.
• No Solicitation Of More Than $100.00 From Lawyers: Canon 7 of the Michigan Code of Judicial Conduct prohibits a judicial campaign committee from soliciting more than $100.00 from a lawyer. If you are a lawyer, please regard the information presented here as informative and not a solicitation for more than $100.00. A lawyer may make, and the Committee may accept, a contribution from a lawyer in any amount up to the individual maximum of $3,400.00.
